Athens Academy Drama Club
The Athens Academy Drama Club, an International Thespian Society member, was initiated in 2001 by student Lauren Schacher. The club mission is to give members opportunities to experience the performing arts, to increase awareness of the performing arts in our community, and to provide service support for events in our community. Our governing board consists of an elected club president, currently Libby Hansen, and volunteer Co-Chairs for each annual activity and event.
Annual Activities and Events: Attend Plays and Performances, Sponsor Workshops, Five Points Open House Holiday Service Project, Story Project, Concessions for plays and talent show, Festival Day Service Project, 2 Canned Food Drives, Shakespeare's Birthday Celebration, Taping of Graduation
