All drama courses at Athens Academy are designed to help students develop the skills necessary to become effective communicators, spontaneous thinkers, and positive team contributors. This increased ability in self-expression leads to better interpersonal communication skills. The mental processes used in the theatre arts correspond directly to those needed in our society. We, in the Theatre Department, also work to help our students develop a positive attitude toward the creative process. The world we live in is filled with creative expression. Exposure through the performing arts is vital to the appreciation and continuation of such humanities.
