MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER: GUIDELINES AND INFORMATION 2010

PRACTICE:
Practice will begin on Monday, February 08. This is the Monday before the middle school play. If you are involved in the play, you are not required to attend.
We will practice from 3:45-5:00 p.m. The team will practice Monday through Friday.
Players will meet one of their coaches and dress in the Spartan Center between 3:20-3:40 p.m. and then go to the Track Field for practice. It is imperative that
players secure their laptops in the gym in the spaces provided during practice.
We will finish each day promptly at 5:00p.m. pick up will be at the Spartan Center.
Pick-up each day will be at the Spartan Center turn around between 5:00-5:15 p.m. PLEASE BE PROMPT!!!
If the weather causes practice to be cancelled, we will try to make the decision by 1:00pm. We will inform the players through school email so that they can alter any transportation plans. Parents (at your request) if you will provide an email address, I will be happy to add you to a contact list as well.

EQUIPMENT FOR PRACTICE
I would request that these be mandatory items every day for the comfort and safety of your children. In case of inclement weather we will try to go inside. It is also very cold during some of the practice times so a sweatshirt or warm-up is mandatory. I would suggest that these be kept in some sort of athletic equipment bag so that they are available every practice day.
1. Soccer Cleats
2. Shin Guards
3. Soccer socks (they must cover a shin guard)
4. Shorts and Shirt
5. Sweat shirt or jacket (warm-up pants are optional)
6. Water bottle (we always have water at the field)
7. Tennis shoes or Soccer flats (Again, if it rains we have the ability to do some indoor training)
EQUIPMENT/TRAVEL FOR GAMES
Uniforms, including shirts and shorts will be provided, socks will be billed to individual families. If a student wishes to return with a parent from an away game, the parent should speak to the coach on the day of the event. All students must travel to events on school transportation.

PHYSICALS, RELEASES AND FORMS
Every player must have a valid physical and parental release form turned in and on file at the school(Athletic Office in the Spartan Center) in order to practice or play. Also, the signed cover sheet of this packet (the initial electronic copy will not have the cover sheet) that indicates that you have read this information must be returned to the coach in order to practice or play.
