<a href="http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/sportsnutrition/a/EatForExercise.htm">Sports Medicine Article on Pre-Event Eating </a>This is a sports medicine article about when and what to eat before athletic competition.<br />
<a href="http://urbanext.illinois.edu/hsnut/hsathletes2.html">Pre-Game and Practice Nutrition</a> This is a web site run by the University of Illinois which contains some general ideas on pre-event and pre-practice nutrition and also contains some sample meal plans.<br />
<a href="http://www.ausport.gov.au/ais/nutrition">Australian Institute for Sports Web Site.</a> This web site is geared toward athletes in the Australian national athletic program. It contains nutritional guidelines and recipes which are geared toward athletic performance.<br />
<a href="http://www.nestle.com.au/Nutrition/SportsNutrition/Winning/Default.htm">Nestle Sports Nutrition Web Site. </a>This site is run by the Nestle Company which is a partner with the Australian Institute for Sport. It covers all the major topics of sports nutrition, provides outstanding educational material, and presents 3 cookbooks which were written for Australian athletes. They contain easy to make recipes which are rated by nutritional content.<br />

         <title>iHoops Launches Youth Website</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>iHoops, the official joint youth basketball initiative of the NCAA and the NBA, has launched its web site, <a href="http://www.iHoops.com">www.iHoops.com</a>, which provides support services and programs for parents, players, coaches, officials, and administrators of youth basketball programs. </p>

<p>"iHoops.com will serve as an essential resource for the youth basketball community," said Kevin Weiberg, iHoops CEO. "This site will be the definitive online source where everyone intimately involved in youth basketball can find the valuable tools and information they need to succeed."<br />

  <li>Played baskteball and was a co-captain at the University of Georgia from 
  1981-84, earning MVP status in NCAA East Regional Tournament and Cotton States 
  Classic in 1983.</li>
  <li>Drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers and played in the Continental Basketball 
  Association and 13 years in Europe.</li>
  <li>Named a Chik-Fil-A Legend during the 2003 SEC Basketball Tournament in New 
  Orleans.</li>
