Pre-school music

We just finished presenting our Grandparents and Special Friends Program. We had so much fun learning our songs and sharing them with our audience.

We are working with our rhythm instruments and learning how to keep a steady beat. The rhythm sticks are fun to play. We play them with Ilassical music, our classroom songs and sometimes we do play and echo. We are going to add other rhythm instruments soon.

We have also starting a unit on high and low sounds. With this unit, we are starting to play handbells and listen to the different pitches each handbell produces. We have talked about how we can make high and low sounds with our voices.

We are singing songs and tracking the way the melody goes with our hand. If the melody goes up then our hand also goes up and if the melody goes down so does our hand. It is fun to listen to songs in a totally different way.

Stay tuned for an update on our handbell progress.
