Grandparent's/Special Friends Day Webcast

Due to heavy use of our network for instructional purposes, the webcast of the 2008 Grandparent's/Special Friends Day is being taped for viewing later today. The Athens Academy faculty and students in the Upper School (US) alone have more than 400 computers or laptops accessing the Internet, email, and network resources on campus for instructional purposes.

The US Advanced Media Production (AMP) class is taping the exciting performances of our Middle and Upper School Orchestras and our Pre/Lower School "Radio Days." The AMP class will convert the tape for Internet viewing later today.

Unfortunately, our laptop wireless card does not have fast enough speed for us to show video tonight. However, we will be running audio play-by-play with the voice of the Spartans, 8th grader, Houston Gaines. Tune in next week for the video webcast of our 1st home game against Whitefield Academy. Michael Lai will be updating the score of tonight's game. So stay tuned!
