The Schubmehl-Prein Prize for Best Essay on Social Impact of Computing
Topic: What is needed to secure the software that controls our nation's critical infrastructure?
Eligibility: Students who are in their junior year of high school and in the top one-fifth of their class
Due Date: May 31, 2007 (must be submitted by midnight)
Awards: 1st Place -- $1000
2nd Place -- $500
3rd Place -- $250

The winning student will receive the following:
a $1000 Scholarship
an all-expense paid trip as one of Jackson EMC's representatives on the Washington, D. C. Youth Tour, June 7 - 14, 2007 and
a $1000 Grant for the winning high school.
