Middle Schoolers Selected as Finalists in NASA Contest
Athens Academy sixth graders Bailey Carter and Grace Trimpe were recently selected as top 10 finalists in NASA’s Buzz Lightyear Mission Patch design contest. More than 600 students from all over the country submitted their designs along with a brief essay commemorating Buzz Lightyear’s achievement; the action figure returned to Earth last fall after spending 15 galactic months aboard the International Space Station.
