We will observe Banned Books Week in the Media Center from Sunday, Sept. 30 - Saturday, Oct. 6. This annual event has been sponsored by the American Library Association since 1982, and is intended to remind us each the importance of our First Amendment rights, to recognize the power of literature, and to draw attention to the danger that exists when restraints are imposed on the availability of information in a free society.
