Middle School Play "Into the Woods"
Don't miss this year's Middle School Play, "Into the Woods", Feb. 9th, 10th and 11th at 7:30pm
Into the Woods, the 1988 Tony Award winner for both score and book of a musical by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim. This imaginative adventure told through Jakob and Wihelm Grimm’s classic fairy tales is brilliantly conceived exploration of “happily ever after”. Into the Woods opened on Broadway at the Martin Beck Theatre on November 5, 1987 and the original cast included such names as Bernadette Peters and Joanna Gleason. Athens Academy Middle School will perform Into the Woods, on February 9th, 10th and 11th at 7:30pm in the Presentation Hall. Canned food donations will be accepted at the door in order to benefit the local food bank. The cast of students includes:
