The Athens Academy Drama Department is pleased to present Fiddler on the Roof, a musical with music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and book by Joseph Stein. This play is set in Russia in 1905. The story centers on Tevye and his attempts to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions while outside influences threaten his way of life. He must cope with the actions of his three older daughters and with the edict that evicts the Jews from their village. Our production of this wonderful musical play consists of 35 students. The company consists of Karishma Sriram, Elizabeth Naclerio, Rachel Bonet, Anna Chandler Kimsey, Aurora Bunten, Julia Marshall, Ward Archibald, Andrew Youngerman, Chris Marbut, Max LoParco, Jennifer Cotton, Nick Brown, Myles LoParco, Ian Dawkins, William Leverett, Taylor Payne, Mackinsey Cole, Kelsie Smith, Dillon McCabe, Justus Ortiz, Emmeline Hale, Shane Patel, Emily Cox. Reagan Dyson, Duncan Sligh, Lucy Barsness, Ethan Jones, Annie Woodruff, Morgan Solomon, Josh Kundert-Gibbs, John Turner, Chloe McWilliams, Alex Pate, Ben Smith, and Robert Leverett as Tevye. Show dates are April 26-28. Curtain is at 7:30 each night. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students. Hope to see you there!
