At halftime during the Georgia - Vandy Homecoming game on October 16, 2010, our own Trey Sinyard '07 was crowned UGA Homecoming King. Trey is a senior at UGA. After graduation in December 2011, Trey plans to go to Medical School. Congratulations Trey! We are proud of you!
Congratulations to Elizabeth Newcomer '09 and Everett Young '10 who are co-authors on a scientific paper that will be published in November in the international microbiology journal, the Journal of Bacteriology.
Elizabeth says of the experience, "I thoroughly enjoyed working in the Biochemistry lab for the past two summers. Through my experiences there, I have further established my passion for science. I was able to have experiences that some students do not have until their second or third year as an undergraduate. I am looking forward to working in more labs in the future."
